Safe Kids Allegheny County

Safe Kids Allegheny CountyUPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh is the lead organization for Safe Kids Allegheny County, a community coalition focused on reducing accidental childhood injuries in our region.

Safe Kids Allegheny County is a local coalition of Safe Kids Worldwide, an international nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing unintentional childhood injury. It focuses on one specific problem: more children ages 1 to 14 die from unintentional injuries resulting from incidents such as motor vehicle crashes, fires, drowning, poisoning and falls than any other cause.

Who We Are

Safe Kids Allegheny County brings together health and safety experts, educators, corporations, foundations, government agencies and other volunteers to educate and support families in protecting their most precious gifts: their children.
