Durae Vincze, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, is vice president, operations at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Durae has more than 33 years of experience at UPMC Children’s Hospital, serving in various roles, including leadership positions in both nursing and hospital operations.
Prior to her current role, Durae served as senior director, Ancillary Services and the Emergency Department (ED) at UPMC Children’s. In this position she had oversight of the Pediatric Radiology Department, Laboratory Services, Pharmacy Department, Clinical Engineering Department, and the ED.
Under her leadership, the ED saw improved patient satisfaction scores and decreased average length of stay for both admitted and discharged patients. This resulted in a 50% reduction in patients leaving the ED without being seen. Her innovative mindset while leading the ED and Ancillary Services has significantly improved organizational efficiencies.
Durae holds a master’s degree in nursing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She received her bachelor’s degree from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. She holds a Nurse Executive Advanced board certification and is a member of the Pennsylvania Organization of Nurse Leaders.
Durae has published and co-authored several articles and has presented locally and nationally on various healthcare topics.
