The Volunteer Services Department at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh’s provides support to the entire organization and hospital community. Volunteers serve in a variety of roles, all of which are instrumental in delivering quality care and services to the patients and families that we serve.

Perks of Volunteering at UPMC Children's Hospital

In addition to volunteering in a rewarding environment, UPMC Children's offers the following perks to all volunteers:

  • Free parking for all registered volunteers on the day of their shift.
  • Complimentary meal ticket redeemable in the cafeteria during volunteer shifts at the Main Hospital.
  • Free annual flu shot (when supplies permit).
  • Complimentary select vaccinations (i.e. tetanus, MMR, chicken pox, varicella, and Hepatitis B).
  • Access to ongoing informational and educational sessions hosted by UPMC Children’s staff members on a variety of clinical and non-clinical subject areas.
