WHAT: Major League Baseball MVP Andrew McCutchen and his family will celebrate Project Pittsburgh Week by visiting patients and families at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh for a special day of art and music events.
Throughout Project Pittsburgh Week, the McCutchens will highlight different organizations that work in a variety of ways with the underprivileged and disadvantaged while also working with community volunteers to show that there is no one skill set required to volunteer and give back.
Each day in the week will showcase a different charitable cause and purpose.
Project Pittsburgh is a grassroots movement started by McCutchen and his wife Maria to encourage volunteerism in the Pittsburgh area.
