Pediatric Urology

The Division of Pediatric Urology offers diagnostic evaluation and surgical treatment of children with genitourinary disorders including but not limited to:

  • Ureteropelvic junction obstructions (UPJO)
  • Congenital renal abnormalities
  • Stone disease
  • Hypospadias
  • Vesicoureteral reflux
  • Undescended testis
  • Hernias
  • Hydronephrosis

Complete urodynamic testing is available. A full range of inpatient and outpatient surgical services, including minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopy, robotics, and endourologic stone management, are available for children with urologic, genital, and neurovesical disorders.

Fellowship Program

UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh's Division of Pediatric Urology offers a two-year fellowship program with an active basic science research laboratory. Learn more.

Referral Requirements

Referrals are required from primary care physicians or other Children's Hospital specialty services. Referrals for patients enrolled in managed care insurance plans also may require authorization from the insurance provider and primary care physician. All necessary referral and authorization forms must be received before the patient's visit. For accurate provider numbers or more information, please call the office number listed below. Online scheduling is also available.
