Silva Arslanian, MD, and members of her team have been invited lecturers at various international congresses. The American Heart Association awarded a 2021 Career Development grant to Thiago Bruder do Nascimento, PhD, to provide three years of funding for the research project Progranulin on Kawasaki Diseases-induced Vascular Damage.

The Research Advisory Committee of UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh awarded Thiago Bruder do Nascimento, PhD, a UPMC Health System Startup grant for his investigation, Mitochondria Recycle in Arteries of a Mouse Model of Kawasaki Disease.
