No. Whether you are interested in working as a radiologic technologist or a radiology nurse, pediatric experience is not required. You are given extensive training and tools to make the transition to pediatrics as smooth as possible.

No. It is a common misconception that by working at Children's Hospital, you are constantly surrounded by critically ill children. This is not the case. Certainly, assisting sick kids will be a very important part of your job, but you will also assist children who are not in critical danger and simply need normal diagnostic scans and treatment.

As an employee of the Pediatric Radiology Department at Children's Hospital, you will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art diagnostic and imaging equipment. You will be surrounded by a team of individuals dedicated to the care of the children and support of their families. You will also be exposed to learning and educational opportunities while working with many of the departments throughout the hospital. 
We recognize the importance of a positive work-life balance for every employee. Every consideration is given to balancing lifestyles and the operational needs of the department. The majority of our staff works three to four days per week. There is a mix of 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts available. 
The environment is kept child friendly with a focus on family-centered care. The employees function as a team to support one another to meet the needs of the children and their families. 
Yes. Paid overtime and on-call hours are available to meet the needs of volume fluctuations.

The new hospital campus in Lawrenceville will expand our Radiology Department to more than 47,000 square feet. In addition, the new space and services will continue to provide the radiology department the opportunity to purchase more state-of-the-art equipment and provide our patients with the most advanced imaging technology available. Work and patient flow will be enhanced using the latest DR technology and the design of our new floor plan.
