Rachana Kelkar is pursuing her masters degree at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Pharmacy. She is working on a collaborative project between the laboratory of Peter Wipf, PhD, University of Pittsburgh, Department of Chemistry, and the Ghazi Lab to test small molecules synthesized in the Wipf lab on worm models of Alzheimer's disease. She aims to establish C. elegans as a rapid and robust animal model for anti-neurodegenerative drug testing.
Rachana enjoys conversing, swing dancing, painting, and playing badminton.
