Internship Training at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh

Graduate students and post-doctoral fellows can find a range of internship training programs in pediatric medicine at UPMC Children’s Hospital.

Internships are more hands-on and focus on applying your skills and knowledge.

During your internship at UPMC Children’s, and under the direction of your supervisor, you’ll:

• Assume patient care responsibilities, such as doing physical exams, ordering tests or medicine, and planning for discharge.
• Interpret imaging tests and lab results.
• Become familiar with common pediatric procedures such as lumbar punctures, PICC line removal, and G tube replacement.
